Welcome to the AARP Smart Driver virtual course!
Here are some recommendations that will help you have the best possible
experience while you are taking the virtual course:
• Before the course, flip through the pages of the guidebook so that you
become familiar with the content.
• Before the course, print out the 8-page document "Smart Driver Virtual
Course Print Outs." This document contains pages from the Smart
Driver Participant Guidebook that the Instructor will reference and ask
you to interact with during the course. You may also want to print out the
State-Specific Handout for your state; it is only 3 or 4 pages long.
• During the course, if you have a second computer or a second monitor,
you may want to view the course Zoom window on one screen and the
digital Smart Driver Participant Guidebook on the second screen. This is
completely optional! It's not required to attend the course.
• After the course, review the Resources section of the Smart Driver
Participant Guidebook and print out any of the worksheets you are
interested in completing. You may also want to print out the 8-page
Vehicle Companion Guide so you can keep it in your vehicle.
Here's the most important tip – have fun participating in the AARP Smart
Driver virtual course!
Thank you,
