Reporting Someone with Driving Problems – Participant Guidebook Page 98 • Members of law enforcement, medical professionals, motor vehicle administrators, and concerned relatives can report drivers to the DC DMV if they feel that the driver cannot operate a motor vehicle safely anymore due to a medical condition. Age is not a consideration. ADDITIONAL STATE INFORMATION Course hours: The District of Columbia will require first time course takers to take the full (at least 6 hours) course. Repeat course takers may complete a shorter version 4-hour course to maintain their discount if it is within two years of the original course date. If at any time a volunteer expects participants to be with the class for an additional amount of time for the 4-hour course, it must be listed on the course locator.
