It is illegal to pass a bus in either direction when its stop arm is extended. Drivers are prohibited from blocking the crosswalk when stopped at a red light or stop sign. Drivers must never pass a vehicle stopped at a crosswalk. If a pedestrian is using a white cane, this indicates that they are blind, and drivers must yield the right-of-way.
