Rearview Mirror Adjustment X Adjust the rearview mirror so you can see out of the entire rear window. X Observe the objects in sight at the left and right edges of the rearview mirror. They might be a tree, a vehicle, etc. Le Mirror Adjustment X Rest your head against the driver's side window. X Adjust the left mirror until you can barely see the left rear edge of your vehicle. Right Mirror Adjustment X Lean to your right so you are directly in front of the rearview mirror mount. X Adjust the right mirror until you can barely see the right rear edge of your vehicle. Test Your Settings X Sitting in your normal driving position, check to see if you can see the entire view behind you, from far right to far left, with no blind spots. Technology Can Help It is important to remember that these mirror adjustments reduce—but do not eliminate— blind spots, which can still exist beyond your mirrors' field of view. You will need to turn your head to see what is there. If you have difficulty turning to check your blind spots, there is technology available in many newer vehicles that can assist you.
